Join us for an unforgettable 3-hour workshop that will introduce you to Son Moderno\u00ae,<\/strong> a captivating new style of dance that blends tradition with innovation. Created by renowned Cuban dancers Yunaisy Farray and Danger Rodr\u00edguez, Son Moderno\u00ae brings the elegance of traditional Son into the modern world, seamlessly integrating the techniques of Bolero, Mambo, Cha-cha-cha, and more. The result is a fresh and sublime language of movement that is both rooted in history and full of contemporary flair.<\/p>\n

Why learn Son Moderno\u00ae?
\n<\/strong>Son Moderno\u00ae is a modernization of \u201ctraditional\u201d Son through the structural integration of different dances that preceded it, along with the contribution of fresh trends. Son Moderno\u00ae is nothing other than a transformation of the Son without modification of its basic parameters as it keeps its roots intact.<\/p>\n

With 80% of modern Cuban music composed contratiempo, this dance gives you the tools to interpret and move in a modernized and musical way.<\/p>\n

New elements introduced by Son Moderno:
\n– Partnerwork<\/strong>: specific technique helps your body to react faster and more effectively
\n– Role of the Follower<\/strong>: the dance focuses on the interaction between partners, but unlike traditional styles where the lead often dominates, this style gives the follower a 50\/50 Balance in Action and Reaction.<\/strong>
\n– Tools for Interpreting Modern Cuban Music<\/strong>: syncopation, accents and more, all while maintaining Son's traditional contratiempo (off-beat) timing.<\/p>\n

Instructor<\/strong>: Certified by the creators themselves, your instructors Anna Korczy\u0144ska and Jakub Korczy\u0144ski (PL\/AT)<\/strong> are looking forward to sharing this dance style with you.<\/p>\n

Prerequisites<\/strong>: none, but if you're already dancing salsa or son, you'll feel particularly at home in this workshop.<\/p>\n

We dance mostly in couples - registration without dance partner possible.<\/p>\n

Upon registration you are going to receive two messages at the email address entered during registration: an automated confirmation message as well as - separately after verification - a message with your invoice and the necessary details for the transfer. Possible prerequisites or proof of discount eligibility will be checked at the start of the event.<\/p>\n
